Aridge, formerly known as Xpeng AeroHT, completed a manned test drive of its flying car in Dubai, the company said in a statement.
The test involved its new model, the Land Aircraft Carrier, the world’s first modular flying car. Aridge’s eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) has a range of over 500 km, a top speed exceeding 360 km/h, and a six-seat cabin.
“We are leading the low-altitude mobility revolution and invite global partners to work with us to build the ecosystem and open new markets, making the dream of flying cars a reality for people around the world,” said founder Zhao Deli.

Following the successful test drive in Dubai, the company has signed regional purchase agreements for 600 units, totaling 7,000 so far. Deliveries are scheduled for 2026.
The vehicle is being produced at the first smart factory for flying cars in Guangzhou, China, which has the capacity to manufacture 10,000 vehicles per year.
The launch comes after a collision between two of Xpeng’s flying cars occurred during a rehearsal for the Changchun Air Show in China. The crash caused a fire, but no injuries were reported.
